A Stratford man appeared at the Rowland Road home where his fiancee was house sitting Friday night, and threatened to kill a male friend of his fiancee who also was at the house, police said.

John Kantorowski, 45, of Oakland Place in Stratford, was charged with threatening and breach of peace.

According to the report, Kantorowski showed up at the Fairfield home around 9 p.m. and confronted both his fiancee and a male friend of hers, and then stood in the street, yelling at them.

Kantorowski's fiancee and her friend left the house, but police said Kantorowski followed them in his van. When he caught up with them on Reef Road, he allegedly threatened to kill the man.

After police were alerted, officers spotted Kantorowksi driving in the opposite direction at a high rate of speed and pulled him over. They said he admitted to following the pair.
