Man charged with threats in child support case
A man from the Bronx was arrested on a warrant Tuesday morning for allegedly threatening the mother of his 18-year-old son.
The teen’s mother, a Fairfield resident, called local police after she began receiving text messages from Martin Greaves, 51. According to the report, the messages started after she contacted Greaves about child-support issues. Among the messages, according to the report, were texts that said: “I’m ready to go to jail,” and “I’m willing to give up my freedom.”
Greaves, taken into custody around 7:30 a.m. Tuesday, was charged with second-degree threatening. He was held on $25,000 bond and scheduled to appear later that day in state Superior Court in Bridgeport.
