A 20-year-old Norwalk man was charged early Saturday with driving under the influence after a patrol officer saw him driving erratically on Johnson Drive, police said.

Sebastian Gomez, of Elmwood Avenue in Norwalk, failed sobriety tests after he was pulled over about 2:32 a.m. police said. He also was cited for failure to obey a stop sign, police said.

Gomez was held in lieu of $100 bond and was scheduled to appear March 25 in Bridgeport Superior Court.

A passenger in the car, Santiago Ochoa, 19, of West Cedar Street in Norwalk, was issued an infraction for possession of alcohol by a minor after he claimed ownership of a bottle of rum in the car, police said.
