A 42-year-old Reid Street man was arrested Sunday night and his gun seized after what police said was a domestic altercation at his home.

Police were dispatched to Shawn Fultz's home after getting a call around 8:30 p.m. from his son, according to the report. Fultz, the son told police, had been wrestling with him, and pushing and shoving him all day. Fultz then got into a verbal argument with his wife, police said, and went into the bedroom where he kept his Glock handgun.

The report stated that Fultz had been drinking as well as taking prescription medication, and when asked by police, said he'd been wearing his gun, which was loaded, all day.

Fultz was taken into custody and charged with carrying a firearm while under the influence of alcohol or drugs, risk of injury to a minor and disorderly conduct.

He was released after posting a $250,000 bond and was scheduled to have appeared Monday in Bridgeport Superior Court.
