Man punched in face while waiting at traffic light in Fairfield
FAIRFIELD — Police are investigating the alleged assault of a motorist as he was stopped at a red light early Sunday morning.
The victim said he was stopped at the light on Sanford Street, at the Post Road, around 1:54 a.m. April 2 when another man apparently started yelling at him. The victim said he told the man to “stop talking (expletive deleted),” at which point the man walked over and punched him through the open window.
The man ran away, leaving the victim with a cut on the bridge of his nose and swelling to his cheek and eye.
