FAIRFIELD — Fairfield University’s 66th commencement exercises took place Sunday on the school’s campus.

The undergraduate and graduate ceremonies saw presentation of 1,030 bachelor's degrees, 423 master's, 16 sixth-year certificates and 27 doctorates, according to school officials.

The undergraduate ceremony featured as speaker, the Rev. Agbonkhianmeghe E. Orobator, principal and president of the Jesuit School of Theology and Institute of Peace Studies and International Relations in Nairobi, Kenya. Orobator received an honorary doctor of laws degree.

Cindi Bigelow, president and CEO of Bigelow Tea in Fairfield, was the afternoon’s graduate ceremony speaker. Bigelow received honorary doctor of laws degree.
