Mary Helen Bach, 100, of Fairfield, died Jan. 20.

Born June 12, 1910, in Princeton Minn., she was a daughter of Rudolf and Dorthea Lueck. She grew up on a small farm and, after graduating from high school, moved to Minneapolis where she attended the Minneapolis School of Business and earned degree in business and accounting. She was a member of Richfield United Methodist Church until 2003 when she moved to Connecticut to be near her family. She also was a life member in the Richfield, Minn., chapter of the American Legion Auxiliary.

With her husband, Clayton M. Bach, who died in 1995, she collected rocks and polished them into jewelry which they displayed at jewelry and rock shows.

Survivors include two children, Sharon Y. Griffith of Danby, Vt., and Jeffrey L. Currier of Fairfield; a stepson, Ronald C. Bach of Winter Springs, Fla.; five grandchildren, Linda S. Torre of Dayton, Ohio, Melissa J. Reed of Arlington, Vt., Christopher L. Currier of Newtown, Patrick L. Currier of New York, N.Y., and Kevin Bach of California, eight great-grandchildren and two great, great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at Richfield United Methodist Church at a date to be determined. Burial will be in the Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis.
