Mary Philomena (Mollie) Wilson, 83, died July 4.

Born May 22, 1928, in Dublin, Ireland, she was the daughter of Joseph Lowth, a native of Townsville, Australia, and Catherine Kenny of Tipperary, Ireland. She met her future husband, Daniel (Danny) Wilson in Ballingarry, Ireland.

She had been a member of the Dublin Society of New York and was a founding member of the Gaelic American Club in Fairfield. She was a singer with the Shamrogues and an actress with the Clan na Gael players.

Survivors include her children, Daniel Wilson of Fairfield and Catherine Wilson of Thornwood, N.Y.; her grandchildren, Colin and Alanna Wilson Powers, both of New York; her siblings, Theresa Begley of Dublin, Ireland, and Brinsley Lowth of Cashel, Ireland; cousins, nephews and nieces.

A traditional Irish wake will be held Friday, July 8, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m., in the Spear-Miller Funeral Home, 39 South Benson Road. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 9, in St. Anthony of Padua Church, 149 South Pine Creek Road. Burial will be in Glengoole Parish Cemetery in Ballingarry, County Tipperary, Ireland.
