Mildred N. Kotrady
Born in Fairfield, she was the daughter of the late John and Theresa Nemesky (Nemeczky) and a life-long town resident. Prior to her retirement, she was a medical technician with the Dupont Co. for over 43 years.
She was a past commander of the Auxiliary of Port 5, a member of the VFW Auxiliary, the Catholic War Veterans and of the Saltwater Sports. In addition, she was a champion duck pin bowler in the Westport Bowling League and enjoyed growing tomatoes.
Survivors, in addition to her husband, include nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her first husband, August Kump; a brother, Anthony Nemeczky, and four sisters, Ann Wach, Theresa Ostrosky, Stephanie Anderson Buckley and Helen Moore.
The funeral on Wednesday, Dec. 29, will leave at 9:30 a.m. from the Shaughnessey Banks Funeral Home, 50 Reef Road and a Mass of Christian Burial is set for 10 a.m. in St. Thomas Aquinas Church. Burial will be in Oak Lawn Cemetery. Calling hours are 2 to 6 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 28, in the funeral home.
