A program on using freshly milled wheat to bake bread will be the topic at the next “What’s Cooking” program Feb. 27 at the Fairfield Public Library.

The free program will take place at 2 p.m. at the main library, corner of Old Post and Post roads. Advance registration is required for the workshop.

Colleen Bell, who has been milling wheat since 1990, will discuss “the benefits of milling your own flour and demonstrate how to do it,” according to the library’s publicity.

She will also demonstrate a wheat bread recipe in the hands-on workshop. Participants will leave with a sample to bake at home.
