ND-Fairfield boys basketball bounces Kolbe; record now 10-1
The Notre Dame-Fairfield boys basketball team improved its record to 10-1 Saturday with a 69-61 win over Kolbe-Cathedral at the University of Bridgeport's Harvey Hubbell Gymnasium.
Notre Dame center Arkel Miles was a dominant force in the paint, and added 11 points.
Kolbe-Cathedral's D.J. Perrt led all scorers with 26 points. Calvin Wade had 12 for the Cougars, and Troy Owens and Losrick McDonald both had 11.
Notre Dame snapped Kolbe-Cathedral's five-game winning streak, and beat the Bridgeport team for the second time this season. The Cougars fell to 6-3.
