NY men charged with theft of wire at Home Depot

Three New York men face charges after police said they attempted to steal $1,898 worth of electrical wiring Tuesday from the Home Depot, 541 Kings Highway Cutoff.
Garcia was also charged with interfering with an officer.
According to police, the three loaded up two different shopping carts with merchandise, and then left the carts near the back of store. They then went purchased a small amount of merchandise and using the receipts from the those purchases, tried to leave the store through the garden center with the loaded shopping carts.
Each was held on a $5,000 and is scheduled to appear March 8 in Bridgeport Superior Court.
