Fairfield Theatre Co. will hold a performance by Brother Joscephus and the Love Revival Revolution Orchestra at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 24, at StageOne, 70 Sanford St. Doors open at 7 p.m.

The 12-piece group, whose music is characterized as New Orleans style funk and party music with influences from Ray Charles and Al Green, consists of a three-piece horn section, a gospel choir and a rhythm section, according to a release.

The orchestra, in white garments accented with the gold, purple and green of Mardi Gras, parades through the audience with parasols at the start of each show and throws out hundreds of Mardi Gras beads during the performance.

The group has played with New Orleans groups such as the Rebirth Brass Band, Trombone Shorty, Dirty Dozen Brass Band, Bonerama, Big Sam's Funky Nation, the New Orleans Klezmer All-Stars and Eric Lindell, the release states. Venues where it has played include the Highline Ballroom and BB King's.
