News Briefs: Fairfield League of Women Voters Tag Sale, Glee Club Christmas Concert
FAIRFIELD — The Fairfield League of Women Voters will host its annual tag sale on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Bigelow Center for Senior Activities, 100 Mona Terrace.
FAIRFIELD — The Fairfield University Glee Club presents its 71st annual holiday concert, “A Glee Filled Christmas,” on Dec. 1 at 8 p.m., and Dec. 2 at 2 p.m. at the university’s Regina A. Quick Center for the Arts. The Glee Club will sing a variety of songs ranging from“Sleigh Ride” to “Ave Maria” and “O Come All Ye Faithful.” The concert will be conducted by Carole Ann Maxwell. The night will also feature musical accompaniment including the piano, percussion and brass, and includes members from multiple collaborations. Tickets are $10, $6 for students. The Connecticut Audubon Society Center at Fairfield, 2325 Burr St., offers a free, indoor Winter Backyard Birding program for ages 12 and up on Dec. 9 from 10 to 11 a.m. Birder and naturalist Dick Worth will discuss what birds are at feeders this time of year, their characteristics, and more.
