No seat belt leads to drug, DUI charges
FAIRFIELD — The Police Department’s “Click It or Ticket” initiative led to the arrest of a Shelton woman Monday morning on drug charges.
Julie Kulikowski, 33, of Howe Avenue, was charged with driving under the influence, possession of narcotics, and failure to wear a seat belt.
It was the fact that Kulikowski was not wearing a seat belt that led to police pulling her over around 10 a.m. on Commerce Drive. According to the report, her pupils were constricted, and she failed standard field sobriety tests. A search turned up three wax folds containing heroin.
She was held on a $100 bond and is scheduled to appear in state Superior Court in Bridgeport Dec. 4.
