FAIRFIELD — A fundraising auction to support St. Thomas Aquinas School is planned April 23.
The “Light the Night” event, featuring an Olympics theme inspired by this summer’s games in Rio de Janeiro, will begin at 7 p.m. in the parochial school, 1719 Post Road.
The fundraiser, which is open to the public, will feature an online pre-auction, live and silent auctions, raffles and live music.
“This is our sole fundraising event for the year,” Patricia Brady, the St. Thomas principal, said in publicity for the event. “We look forward to hosting a fun-filled evening that will secure the continuous, necessary financial support that enables our school to thrive and our students to excel.”
The Brazilian Olympics theme will be reflected in Latin-accented food and drink, rolled cigars and music by Cosmic Jibaros.
In addition, according to Erin Russell, the event co-chairwoman, “We have tapped into our networks and secured close to 200 spectacular items for our auctions and raffles that will be available for bid online, beginning April 1.”
Admission is $50 per person, $35 per grandparent of St. Thomas students and $60 per person after April 1. For questions, email firstname.lastname@example.org. To learn more, bid or make a donation to the school, go to www.bidpal.net/springtoauction .
