Sacred Heart University's College of Arts & Sciences will hold a recital performed by organist Craig Cramer at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 26, in the school's Chapel of the Holy Spirit, 5151 Park Ave.

Cramer is a professor of organ and artist-in-residence at the University of Notre Dame. He also serves as organist at St. David of Wales Episcopal Church in Elkhart, Ind.

He holds degrees from Westminster Choir College and the Eastman School of Music where he earned a doctorate in organ performance. The Eastman School awarded him the Performer's Certificate in Organ, and he is one of the most traveled organists of his generation, according to a release.

Cramer maintains an active recital career across the country and in Europe and has performed in 44 states and Canada. The University of Notre Dame recently recognized him with a Kaneb distinguished faculty award.

In addition, JAV Recordings recently released Cramer's premiere recording of the Notre Dame Fritts organ as well as his recording on the new Fritts organ at St. Joseph Cathedral in Columbus, Ohio, the release states.
