Pennsylvania woman charged with carjacking in Milford
MILFORD — A 26-year-old Pennsylvania woman is accused of carjacking a Milford homeowner and assaulting another, according to police.
Police said Selin Sakarcan, 26, of Villanova, Pennsylvania, walked down a residential driveway around 9 p.m. Sunday and demanded that the owner of the home get out of their car.
As the car’s owner fled from the car and barricaded themselves in the home’s garage, police said, Sakarcan started to drive away in the car.
But when a neighbor tried to intervene, asking the woman to exit the car, Sakarcan exited the car, punched the neighbor in the face twice and then fled from the home on foot.
Sakarcan was later caught by police and arrested. She was charged with carjacking, criminal attempt of second-degree larceny, robbery, third-degree assault and breach of peace. She was held on $5,000 bond and given a court date of July 13.
