Sacred Heart University and New York City's Broadway Dance Center will present "Performing for the Angels of Sandy Hook," a fundraiser for the Sandy Hook Elementary School Memorial Scholarship Fund, on Saturday, Jan. 19. It will take place at 8 p.m. at Sacred Heart's Edgerton Center for the Performing Arts, 5151 Park Ave., Fairfield.

The program, presented by the center's Aaron Tolson and Scott Aliberti, the university's director of dance, will feature performances by professional dancers from the center's faculty and the school's performing arts students.

The scholarships provided by the fund will give need-based financial assistance to college-bound high school graduates from Newtown who attended Sandy Hook Elementary School, according to a news release.

There will be no set charge for the performance, yet donations are requested for the fund. The event will be open to the public.
