Born in Wysowa, Poland, he immigrated to the United States in 1964 and settled in Ansonia, and has been a resident of Fairfield for the last 30 years. Before he retired, he had worked as a machinist/toolmaker for Preston Machine.
Survivors include three sons, John, his wife Miroslawa and their daughter Tanya of Derby, Adam of North Haven, and Steve, his wife Ok-Chu and their daughter Danielle of Arizona. He was predeceased by nine brothers and sisters.
The funeral will take place at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 3, at Holy Protection of the Blessed Virgin Mary Ukrainian Catholic Church, 457 Noble Ave., Bridgeport. Burial will be in Oak Lawn Cemetery. Calling hours are Tuesday, Aug. 2, from 5 to 8 p.m., in the Shaughnessey Banks Funeral Home, 50 Reef Road.
