PHOTOS: Tornado damage in Central Texas town

Tornadoes were reported west of La Grange Friday morning, according to the National Weather Service.

The weather service issued tornado warnings in the area because of severe thunderstorms that developed in Fayette County, according to meteorologist Brett Williams.

In a tweet, the National Weather Service said they have a NWS Survey Team in route to Fayette and Lavaca counties to survey damage. They said they will have more information on the severity of the damage and wind rating.

Photos shared by the Fayette County EMS page show the damage caused by the storm.

The majority of the damage was reported west of Highway 71, Williams said.

The photos showed toppled structures, downed power lines and crushed cars.

No injuries have been reported yet, according to the first responders.
