Prize-winning pianist Alex Beyer, of Fairfield, will perform in a concert Sunday afternoon, Jan. 11, at the Pequot Library.

The concert is at 3 p.m. and is part of the Music at Pequot Library series.

Tickets are $25 in advance online and will be $30 at the door, the library said. Proceeds will help support music programs conducted at the library.

A 2012 graduate of Fairfield Warde High School, Beyer has performed as a guest solist with orchestras in Milwaukee, Charlotte, N.C., Hartford, New Haven, Waterbury and Bridgeport. He has won several piano competitions in Connecticut and has been a finalist in several international contests.

Beyer is a sophomore at Harvard University enrolled in its five-year, dual-degree program with the New England Conservatory of Music. He is pursuing a bachelor of science degree from Harvard and master of music degree from the conservatory.

Doors will open at 2:30 p.m., the library said.

The Pequot Library is at 720 Pequot Ave. in Fairfield.
