Fairfield University's 2011-12 Arts & Minds season will present pianist Leann Nicole Osterkamp Sunday, Nov. 6, as part of its Young Artists Series. The performance will take place 2 p.m. in the school's Regina A. Quick Center for the Arts, 1073 N. Benson Road.

In 2008, Osterkamp participated in the Fourth New York International Piano Competition, where she performed commissioned work by composer John Musto.

She was awarded first prize in the 2008 Wells Steinway Concerto Competition and a major prize in the Bradshaw and Buono International Piano Competition that same year and was named a 2009 Presidential Scholar of the Arts through the Barack Obama administration.

Osterkamp, a native of Boulder, Colo., is a student at the Juilliard School in New York.
