A performance by a piano/cello duo will be featured at the Feb. 6 Music for Youth concert in the Pequot Library.

The free concert by the Brown-Canellakis Duo will be at 2 p.m. in the library, 720 Pequot Ave.

The duo comprises cellist Nicholas Canellakis and pianist/composer Michael Brown. Canellakis performs with the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center, and Brown was the first-place winner of the 2010 Concert Artists Guild Victor Elmaleh Competition, as well as a 2015 recipient of an Avery Fisher Career Grant.

The two musicians have performed at music festivals around the world, including Tanglewood, Caramoor, Ravinia, Aspen and Mostly Mozart at Lincoln Center.

A master class for solo or duo advanced piano and cello students will take place after the duo’s performance. Space is limited and there is a $30 registration fee for the class. For more information, call 203-254-0123 or email musicforyouthct@gmail.com.
