Police are investigating a burglary at a Fairway Green home that caused more than $10,000 worth of damage after thieves ripped out some of the home's copper-pipe plumbing.
A real estate agent notified the property manager Saturday night after spotting water running out of the garage. The radiators in the basement were ripped out and the copper pipes to the water heater, boiler and main water lines had been cut out.
Also missing was an air conditioning unit, a flat-screen TV and jewelry.
A neighbor told police that two men were seen on the property Thursday, walking around the house, but thought they were part of a maintenance crew.
