Play With Your Food, the theater company that combines script readings with lunch, will present two humorous plays in April at venues in Fairfield and Westport.

The readings will include "Pygmalion" and "Bottom of the Ninth" Tuesday, April 3, at Fairfield Theatre Co.'s StageOne and Tuesday, April 10, through Thursday, April 12, at Westport's Toquet Hall.

"Pygmalion," by George Bernard Shaw and based on "My Fair Lady," involves a phonetics professor who bets he can train a Cockney flower girl to pass for a duchess by teaching her to assume impeccable speech.

"Bottom of the Ninth," by Tony Sportiello, gives a behind-the-scenes look at the major leagues.

All shows begin at noon and include a gourmet lunch and a discussion with the cast members and directors, the company said.

Tickets to the shows, presented by the not-for-profit JIB Productions, Inc., are $43 per person, including lunch.

Advance registration is required and may be done online at www.playwithyourfood.org or by calling 203-293-8831.
