Nonprofit performing arts producer JIB Productions' 2013 Play With Your Food series will present readings from three plays on Tuesday, Feb. 12. They will take place from noon to 1:30 p.m. at StageOne at the Fairfield Theatre Company, 70 Sanford St.

Readings will be from "Barbra's Wedding," by actor Daniel Stern; "Today a Little Extra," by Michael Kassin; and a third play to be announced.

"Barbra's Wedding" is about an out-of-work television actor and his wife as they examine their own marriage in the midst of a wedding involving their famous neighbor, Barbra Streisand, who has not invited them to her Malibu nuptials. Stern has appeared in the movies "Home Alone" and "City Slickers."

Clark Gookin, whose work includes "Friendly Fire" at Playwrights Horizons, will play Jerry, the out-of-work actor. His wife will be played by Bethany Caputo.

Nadine Willig, of Stratford, will appear in "Today a Little Extra," which ponders how to hold on to the past when times are changing.

Now in its 11th season, Play With Your Food is a theater program that includes a buffet lunch and dessert, short-play readings by professional actors, and a post-show discussion.

Upcoming performances in the Play With Your Food series will take place in March and April.

Tickets are $43 and may be purchased at or by calling 203-293-8831 weekdays between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m.
