FAIRFIELD — Police caught two men they allege tried to break into a storage pod behind a Post Road business early Thursday morning.

A call came in around 2 a.m. June 29 about a man that looked like he was trying to break into a storage pod leased by Capitol Photo booth, which has a store front at 889 Post Road.

The two suspects, Christopher Dahlinger, 22, and Brandon McLaughlin, 23, led police on a foot chase for about a half a mile and were caught by police near Turney Road.

The storage pod was damaged in the incident.

Dahlinger, who lives on Huntington Turnpike in Trumbull, and McLaughlin, who lives on Prospect Street West in Greenwich, were both charged with second-degree criminal mischief, interfering with an officer, criminal attempt at third-degree burglary and criminal attempt at sixth-degree larceny.

Information on bonds were not available. Both are scheduled to appear in state Superior Court in Bridgeport on July 14.
