FAIRFIELD — Whether you’re out hunting for bargains on Black Friday, or keeping it local on Small Business Saturday, the Fairfield Police Department hopes you’ll keep its annual Holiday Toy Drive in mind.

Each year, the department collects new toys, which are given to children and their families who are dealing with cancer. All the toys collected will be delivered, not by sleigh but police cruiser, to St. Vincent Medical Center’s Swim Across the Sound on Dec. 14.

New, unwrapped toys can be dropped off at police headquarters, 100 Reef Road, at the Town Clerk’s office in Old Town Hall, Cambridge Manor, the Fairfield Recreation Center, or Hobby Town.
