The Fairfield Police Department will hold a "Cop-on-Top" to benefit local Special Olympics athletes from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday, May 17, at the corner of the Post and Reef roads.

With support from Kleban Properties, an officer will be on the roof of Victoria's Secret to raise awareness and funds in support of local Special Olympics athletes, according to a news release. Officers will collect donations from those driving and walking by the intersection.

The event will include music.

The Special Olympics' mission is to provide year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children and adults with intellectual disabilities, the release states. For information on the organization, visit www.soct.org.
