Fairfield University's Regina A. Quick Center for the Arts will present a live transmission of the Metropolitan Opera premiere of composer Thomas Ades' "The Tempest" at 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 10, at the center, 1073 N. Benson Road. An encore showing will take place at 6 p.m.

Ades created the work, starring baritone Simon Keenlyside as Prospero, while Robert Lepage, director, recreated the interior of 18th-century La Scala in the staging, according to a release.

The transmission and showing are part of "The Met: Live in HD" program, a series of high-definition transmissions of opera's new season from Lincoln Center's Metropolitan Opera House in New York City.

Tickets are $25, $20 seniors, and $10 for children and students, and may be purchased at the box office by calling 203-254-4010.
