Rita Daly Seperack, 87, wife of the late Herman Seperack, died March 26, 2010, in St. Joseph's Manor, Trumbull.

She is survived by sons, Thomas Seperack of Winston Salem, N.C., Peter Seperack and his wife, Elise of Lafayette, Calif., Joseph Seperack of Stratford, Paul Seperack and his wife, Nanette of Monroe, Andrew Seperack and his wife, Kathleen of Bridgeport; grandchildren, Courtney Seperack and Babbette Mabe, Adam and Kate Seperack, Jennifer and Allison Seperack, Philip and Elizabeth Seperack, John, Liam and Clare Seperack; sisters, Margaret Stapleton and her husband, James of Trumbull, and Gloria Seperack of Trumbull; a brother, John Daly and his wife, Jean of Stonington; sisters-in-law, Gertrude Seperack of Easton and Florence Luciano of Bridgeport; one brother-in-law, Kenneth Seperack of Bridgeport; and several nieces and nephews.

Born and raised in Bronx, N.Y., the daughter of the late Thomas and Julianne Lynch Daly, she worked for several banks in New York City before moving to Fairfield, a community where her family enjoyed spending summers at their cottage on the beach.

Seperack worked for Warnaco for a short time, met her husband, Herman, were married and raised their family in Trumbull. A devout Catholic and very active parishioner of St. Theresa Church, she was a member of the Women's Guild, a den mother for the cub scouts, helped coordinate many church events, and meticulously cared for the altar linens.

A talented competition swimmer in her youth, Seperack encouraged each of her sons to strive for their personal best when playing sports, and would spend hours watching and cheering at her sons' games. She loved her family.

Calling hours took place Monday in the Lesko & Polke Funeral Home, 1209 Post Road, Fairfield. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Tuesday in St.Jude Church; interment followed in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
