Police are investigating a report of stolen credit cards and a $400 Gucci belt from a Redding Road family.
A couple came to police headquarters Thursday to report that they believed their former cleaning woman, who had been let go three weeks prior, was using their credit cards without authorization.
They were notified by People's United Bank and Best Buy of suspicious activity with the cards. That activity included a $325 purchase at Stop & Shop, $62 at a gas station and a $500 online charge at Best Buy. The theft totaled $1,108, according to the report.
