Report: Woman wielded rifle in fight with friend
Michele A. Thomas, 52, was charged after she allegedly waved a rifle at a friend during an argument Tuesday evening at a mutual friend's Berwick Avenue home.
Thomas, who lives on May Street, was charged with disorderly conduct, third-degree assault, second-degree threatening and first-degree reckless endangerment.
Thomas and another woman were at their male friend's home, according to the report, when they began arguing about how he was being treated.
The victim told police she went outside to have a cigarette, and when she returned, Thomas had dumped some of the homeowner's guns on the floor. She said she told Thomas to put away the guns, and Thomas grabbed a rifle and pointed it at her, according to the report. The two began to wrestle over the rifle, police said, and in the course of the struggle Thomas pulled the other woman's hair and bit her finger.
Thomas called 911, according to police, because of injuries she also suffered during the dispute.
Thomas is scheduled to appear April 16 in Bridgeport Superior Court.
