Rob Carlson and his band, Benefit Street, will perform 7:30 p.m. Sept. 9 at StageOne at the Fairfield Theatre Company, 70 Sanford St.

Doors open at 7 p.m.

The group will celebrate the release of its new self-titled album during the performance.

Carlson, a 30-year resident of Fairfield who grew up in Weston and Westport, toured for 12 years with the comedy group Modern Man before getting back together with Benefit Street, which includes multi-instrumentalist Vincent Pasternak, keyboardist Paul Payton and drummer Sam Carlson.
