Rosemary A. Etrio Rudis, 68, of Fairfield, wife of Gary Rudis, died Feb. 14 in St. Vincent's Medical Center, Bridgeport.

Born May 20, 1942, in Bridgeport, she was the daughter of the late Dominic and Carmela Rotondo Etrio.

A longtime resident of Fairfield, she was an elementary school teacher for in Shelton for more than 42 years at Long Hill School. She was a parishioner and lector at St. Margaret's Shrine in Bridgeport, and enjoyed traveling and flowers.

Survivors, in addition to her husband of 43 years, include two brothers, John Etrio and his wife Josephine of Fairfield and Anthony Etrio Sr. of Bridgeport; nieces and nephew, Debra Kopczynski, Teresa Garnett and Jon Etrio; and great-nieces and great-nephews, Belinda Wutke, Bianca Garnett, Holly Garnett, Anthony Kopczynski, Jon Etrio Jr. and Nicole Etrio. She was predeceased by a sister-in-law, Patricia Etrio and a nephew, Anthony Etrio Jr.

Services will take place at 9 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 19, at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and followed at 10 a.m. by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Margaret Shrine in Bridgeport.
