Ryan Joseph Wilson, 31, of Southport, died April 1.
Born in Bridgeport, he was a graduate of the University School in Bridgeport and was studying at Housatonic Community College for a degree in computer sciences. He was also an agent Coldwell Banker Real Estate and, prior to that, with Century 21/Access Realty.
Ryan was an aspiring world class pool player, who placed fifth in the nation in 2009. As a captain, he lead his team to championship victories, including the 2010 National Championships in Las Vegas, where the team placed second in the nation. He was a Mason with the Masonic Lodge Ashlar-Aspetuck No. 142 in Easton.
Survivors include his parents, Linda Lindwall and her husband, Richard Jr., of Bridgeport and Alfred (Buddy) R. Wilson Sr. and his wife, Diane, of Shelton; three sisters, Donna Baytar and her husband, Sam, of Shelton, Michelle Lindwall of West Haven and Danielle Lindwall of Bridgeport; five brothers, Robert Wilson of Shelton, Alfred R. Wilson, Jr. and his wife, Antonella of Newington, and Richard Lindwall III, Joseph Lindwall and Sam Lindwall, all of Bridgeport; a cousin, Michael Bihary of Fairfield, and other cousins, nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will take place at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 9, in the Shaughnessey Banks Funeral Home, 50 Reef Road. Burial will be in Mountain Grove Cemetery, Bridgeport. Calling hours are Friday, April 8, from 4 to 8 p.m., at the funeral home.
