Sandra Jane Buschmann Casey, 74, of Fort Pierce, Fla., the wife of Daniel Casey, died Oct. 1, 2010.

Born in Bell Harbor, N.Y., she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Helen Thomas Buschmann. She had been a resident of Rockville Center and Greenlawn, N.Y., and the Connecticut towns of Redding and Washington, before moving to Fort Pierce. A retired secretary for Pfizer Chemical, she had a career in modeling during the 1950s. She was an artist, enjoyed golf, and had been a member of the Redding Country Club.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by six children, Laura Horrigan, and her husband, Robert, of Roxbury, Christine Baldwin, and her husband, Peter, of Exeter, N.H., Daniel Casey Jr. of Fairfield, J. Stephen Casey, and his wife, Rocio (Ro), of Fairfield, Robert Casey of Bridgeport, and Brad Casey of Santa Cruz, Calif.; 12 grandchildren, Robert, Kevin and Patrick Horrigan, Alexandra, Corinne and Andrew Baldwin, Daniel Casey III, Ryann, Suzanna, Holly and Jack Casey, and Marie Casey; four sisters, Joan Boyle, and her husband, Ed, of Oceanside, N.Y., Judith Haggerty, and her husband, Ed, of Martinsville, N.J., Susan Wallace, and her husband, Ken, of Rockville Center, N.Y., Helen Buschmann, of Northport, N.Y.; two brothers, Arthur Buschmann, and his wife, Sue, of Savannah, Ga., Robert Buschmann, and his wife, Linda, of Seacliff, N.Y., and nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be Thursday, from 4 to 8 p.m., in the Lesko & Polke Funeral Home, 1209 Post Road. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11 a.m. Friday in St. Ann Church, 481 Brewster St., Bridgeport. Burial will be in Umpawaug Cemetery, Redding.
