Search for missing boater continues
ARLEY, Ala. (AP) — An Alabama woman remains missing more than week after a boat crash on Smith Lake.
Search crews have been looking for 26-year-old Kelsey Nicole Starling since the July 4 evening boat crash on the lake.
Alabama Law Enforcement Agency Marine Police said searchers have used sonar, underwater cameras, dive teams and search dogs to try to find for the missing woman.
The boat crash occurred in the Rock Creek area of Smith Lake. Five people were injured in the collision between two boats.
The operator of the boat that Starling was on was arrested and charged with boating under the influence.
