At Home In Fairfield, a group trying to build a network of service providers for senior citizens, will host its next monthly meeting on Wednesday, Feb. 11, at 2 p.m. at the Fairfield Senior Center, 100 Mona Terrace.

The group said it has been meeting for about a year, discussing establishment of a network of volunteers and paid service people who would assist seniors with things such as grocery shopping, transportation, yard work, home-maintenance jobs, help with electronic devices and other tasks.

The program's goal would be to allow elders to remain in their own homes as long as possible. It is patterned on the so-called "village" concept of established elder-service programs in New Canaan, Wilton and New Haven.
