A series of car break-ins on Villa Avenue and Kings Highway were reported to police Tuesday.

The first came from a Villa Avenue resident, who said his car's front-passenger window was smashed and a backpack containing a drill and computer network tools, along with computer cables and a switch from the trunk, were taken. The items were valued at $600.

Another Villa Avenue resident said his car window was smashed and an iPod Touch, worth $300, was taken. The damage to the window was estimated at $600. The incident may have taken place around 4 a.m. Tuesday, he told police, since sensor-activated motion lights were triggered outside at that hour and his dogs started barking.

On Berwick Avenue, a resident reported that on Saturday his unlocked vehicle was entered and a $50 air compressor was taken. A Berwick Avenue neighbor said his unlocked car was also entered Saturday night and a $200 GPS unit was stolen.
