FAIRFIELD — A man from Orange, Conn. allegedly wrote two bad checks to repay thousands in loans.
Police said two women each loaned Robert Santillo $20,000 in May 2015 and the checks the 51-year-old wrote to repay them the next month bounced. After the debt remained unresolved, a warrant was issued for Santillo’s arrest.
Police arrested the resident of Old Tavern Road in Orange on Dec. 12 and charged him with two counts of issuing a bad check. Santillo was held on a $5,000 bond ahead of a Dec. 22 court date.
