Southport Congregational Church will hold the 17th annual "Rooms with a View" Showhouse during the first week of November in the church's library and great hall, 524 Pequot Ave., Southport.

The event, to be held 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, Nov. 4, and Saturday, Nov. 5, and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 6, will display a dozen 5-foot by 8-foot spaces designed by 12 different interior designers. A preview party will take place 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 3, followed by a fashion show with Fairfield clothing store Snappy Gator and luncheon with two seatings 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 4.

The designers will include Olga Adler, Michael Adams, Sam Allen, James Andrew, John Todd Bishop, Connie Cooper, Allison Hennessy, Melissa Marcogliese, George Marshall Peters, James D. Petersen, Carmina Roth and Christopher Stevens.

Other Showhouse-related events include a marketplace with 30 vendors, a seminar and a book signing and wine and cheese event with designer Jeffrey Bilhuber.

This year's theme, "The Next Generation," pays homage to the "Dean of American Design," Albert Hadley, the event's founder who has served as its hands-on honorary chairman. Hadley, once a partner with Sister Parish in the design firm Parish-Hadley, is principal of his own design firm, Albert Hadley Inc.

Proceeds from the event will go to the church and the charities it services.

Tickets to the preview party start at $125. General admission tickets are $20.
