Kristen Graves, the state troubadour and Fairfield resident, will perform a concert of folk and acoustic music Sunday at the Pequot Library.

Graves will be joined for the 2 p.m. concert by Glenn Roth, a finger-style guitarist, in the concert of the library, 720 Pequot Ave.

Graves is a singer/songwriter and story teller, and plays nearly 200 shows annually around the country. Among those she has performed with are Dar Williams, David Amram, Guy Davis, Peter Yarrow and the late Pete Seeger. She has recorded six albums and two EPs, her latest release is, “Now Ain't the Time for Tears.”

Graves also takes time from performing to support humanitarian causes, such as spending months living and working with Simply Smiles in Mexico and on the Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe Reservation in South Dakota, according to library publicity for the event.

Roth plays “high-energy acoustic finger-style guitar originals, with influences ranging from Tommy Emmanuel to Tool,” according to the library. Based in Connecticut, he tours regularly throughout the Northeast and beyond, including a recent stint across Europe as part of the Master Guitar Tour.

Tickets cost $15 in advance, and can be purchased online at or at the library’s front desk. They will be on sale for $20 at the door. For information, call 203-259-0346, ext. 15.
