Store employee faces larceny, forgery charges
A 17-year-old Bridgeport girl was charged with 13 counts of sixth-degree larceny and 12 counts of forgery after she allegedly stole $330 in cash from Office Max, 696 Post Road, where she had been working.
Police said the former employee scanned dozens of items without paying and returned them for cash. She reportedly carried out the scheme 20 times between Feb. 21 and March 10. She turned herself in at police headquarters around 5 p.m. Thursday and was held on $2,500 bond, police said.
She is scheduled to appear in juvenile court on Aug. 2.
