Representatives of more than three dozen youth camps specializing in a variety of interests are expected to be on hand for a Summer Camp Open House Tuesday evening, March 5, at the Fairfield Woods Middle School.

The free program is from 7 to 9 p.m. in the school gym, sponsored by the Fairfield PTA and the town Parks and Recreation Department.

Representatives of camps specializing in various sports, theater, music, art, dance, history, digital media, nature, horseback riding, sailing and other interests, plus multiple-activity camps, including YMCA programs, are expected.

The open house will offer parents a chance to learn about various day camps and sleep-over camps in one visit. Most camps are in the Fairfield County area, although some are from as far away as Mystic.

A similar open house last year attracted about 500 people.
