Summer music fans flock to Sherman Green for Eagles tribute band
Country rock fans young and old gathered Sunday evening on Sherman Green to enjoy the sounds of E-2, an Eagles tribute band, which has proved a popular attraction in the Parks and Recreation Department’s summer concert series for several years.
Concert goers tapped their toes and even did a little line dancing as the octet delivered tunes like “Take It Easy,” “New Kid on the Block,” “You Belong to the City,” “One of These Nights,” “Boys of Summer” and “Witchy Woman.”
Members of the band have never personally met any of the original Eagles bandmates, according to keyboardist Dick Brundage, but they hope to one day. “It would be cool if we were playing a show sometime and Don Henley just appeared and joined us on stage,” he said.
