FAIRFIELD — The annual concert to benefit Music for Youth will be performed Sunday at Trinity Episcopal Church.

The event starts at 2 p.m. in the church, 651 Pequot Ave., in the Southport section of town. In addition to the concert, an auction is planned to support the nonprofit organization’s program.

Music for Youth promotes “the love of live music in our community through our free Young Persons Concert series, the Young Artist Showcase series, the residency and exchange programs in schools, and the awarding of a scholarship to an outstanding senior in the music community,” according to publcity from the group.

The performance will feature Eric Jacobsen, maestro of the Greater Bridgeport Symphony; Alex Beyer, pianist; Darwin Shen, violinist, and two student ensembles, the Fairfield Woodwind Quintet and the Ariston String Quartet.
