FAIRFIELD — Despite some intense rain, the first Taste of Fairfield, held at the Delamar Hotel in Southport, drew hundreds of people.

There were 28 vendors from around the region giving tastes of their specialty foods—everything from soups to salads, drinks to desserts and more.

“It’s about exposing people to great flavors,” said Sherry Wyatt, catering and sales manager with Delamar.
