An 18-year-old was charged with trying to smoke an Oxycodone pill in the parking lot of Fairfield Railroad Station on Friday night.
Luke Finlay, of Penfield Road, was charged with possession of narcotics, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and failure to keep drugs in their original container.
An officer spotted Finlay in a car on the New Haven-bound side of the station around 11:50 p.m. According to the report, Finlay looked around several times to make sure no one was watching before leaning into the back seat of his car. The officer saw the flash of a lighter, then asked Finlay what he was doing and saw a piece of burnt tinfoil with residue on it, according to the report. The officer allegedly saw Finlay put something into his pocket and when asked what it was, Finlay took out an Aleve bottle that contained 21 Oxycodone pills. He also had marijuana and a pipe in his possession, according to police.
Finlay was released on a promise to appear in Bridgeport Superior Court, but no court date was indicated in the report.
